Dundee University Boat Club
Committee 26-27
The Committee for Dundee University Boat Club prides itself on its student-led operations. Like many of the clubs in the university Sports Union, it relies on the volunteering efforts of its members to take up year-long positions alongside their academic studies. This format enables the club to improve at the hands of a group of dedicated and passionate students year to year and in itself, encapsulates the values at the very core of the club: “founded by students, led by students and designed for students. Meet our members below.

President
Miriam Bray
This year Miriam will be leading the team! Having joined DUBC in 2024 as a newbie to rowing she quickly got comfortable, sitting on committee as secretary in her second year and now looking to make this year the best yet! The plans are in motion for 26-27 and we know Miriam will help run them all smoothly.

Club Captain
Megan Dunlop
Our Club Captain for this year is Megan! This year will be Megan’s 4th year rowing, she brings impressive racing experience, coaching ability and her commitment to the club. Megan has helped many individuals improve massively in their rowing and is a core member of our team. We look forward to seeing her impact on this year’s members!

Secretary
Millie McGonagle
Keeping everything running and everyone updated is Millie, as our secretary! Under her belt she has coaching and umpiring qualifications that have proved to be invaluable to the club’s development. Though she will be studying abroad for half of this year, she will getting involved online, including dialling into our meetings from Singapore! We are sure Millie’s support will set us in good stead for organising the year.

Treasurer
Euan Loynd
The person in charge of our finances this year is Euan! Euan has had some experience rowing back home but is wading into the committee’s responsibilities this time. Euan also commits to other sporting clubs, he is an all-rounder and a helpful person to have around! We are sure the clubs accounts will be well looked after.

Development Captain
Sandy Walker
Sandy is in charge of development this year! Sandy has some impressive racing experience, admirable dedication to the sport and a whole lot of enthusiasm to share around with anyone looking to improve their rowing. He will be working with Megan to set up our squads for all their competition goals. We are sure Sandy will be supporting us every step of the way.

Equipment Manager
Andrew Mclaughlin
This year is Andrew’s second year in charge of fixing things up for the club. He’ll be on hand with a toolbox, strimmer, paintbrush or lawnmower, for whatever our boathouse needs! Andrew will have it sorted in no time.

Social Secretary
Lara Morrison
Lara will be looking after our social fixtures this year! Lara is a dependable and committed member of DUBC, having joined two years ago, she’s looking to make her third the most fun-filled!
