Scot Champs Race Report

On Saturday the 4th of June, members of our senior squad headed across to Strathclyde Country Park for the 2022 Scottish Rowing Championships. The conditions were better than we could ever wish for. With the sun shining across calm waters, our crews were ready to go racing.

The weekend started with strong racing from our Senior Men’s 4+ who came 3rd in the final for the Intermediate category.

This was followed on Sunday by some seriously tight racing from our Women’s Intermediate 2x. After a good result in their time trial, they progressed into the B final. With another amazing race, they achieved a respectable 4th.

Finally, our Senior Men’s 2- powered through an excellent race, achieving a close 2nd in the Open Intermediate category - a riveting and exciting race to watch from the waterside.

We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone at Scottish Rowing for organising the event, as well as the members of Strathclyde Park Rowing Club for their hospitality in hosting an amazing weekend of racing.

A special shout out also goes to both Oliver Bohle and Beth Forrester, who represented the club so well in their final races with DUBC! We wish them luck in all their rowing a

dventures they may embark on in the future.
