Congratulations to our Graduates of 2025! Thank you for the lasting impact that all of you have all made on the club, and we wish you the best of luck with your future endeavours. We will be forever grateful for the contributions of these athletes, towards committee, racing and also training, and we look forward to watching what everyone achieves in the future- hopefully more rowing! Best of luck to all of our amazing graduates, and thank you again for everything you have done for our club!

Harry Mendoza

2022-2025

BSc Pharmacology (Hons)

Harry joined DUBC in his second year at university. He learned to row with us and his fun-loving attitude and excellent sense of humour made the process of learning to row enjoyable for everyone involved. In his second year in the club, Harry took on the role of General Member, and he embraced this role by always being available to help for the sometimes-random jobs that are involved in running our club. In his final year in the club, Harry became the Safety and Welfare officer (Which came as a shock to anyone who knew him), Harry performed well in this role assisting the club with swim tests and capsize drills to make sure everyone in the club was safe on the water. We’ve been on many towing road trips and Harry’s help driving for our club has ensured we can continue to operate. Harry’s hard work for our club and others led to him being awarded Alastair Lonie Trophy which recognises a student who has made a significant contribution across multiple sports. Alongside his volunteering efforts, Harry has been successful competitively winning medals in both 4s and 8s. Harry has been an integral part of our club and for that we thank him and wish him well in the future.

Joel Codd

2020-2025

Architecture MArch (Hons)

DUBC would like to say a big thank you to Joel Codd, who graduates this year with his degree in Architecture. Joel joined DUBC in 2020 and has been a committed member of the club since, taking part in racing, training sessions and fundraising as part our Dundee team. Joel held the position of Social Secretary in 2023 and helped organise many a club event as part of the committee, helping Dundee University Boat Club grow as the social and welcoming club we all know it to be now.

Thank you, Joel, for joining and being part of our club for several years, we have appreciated all your help and enthusiasm massively and hope that you have many fond memories of rowing here. Good luck and we wish you the best moving forward after university, and we hope you can take your positive experiences of DUBC with you!

Iona Henderson

2024-2025

LLB Scots & English Law (Hons)

Having only joined DUBC in September last year, Iona was quick to leave a lasting impression on the club with her incredible enthusiasm towards the sport. She quickly threw herself into competition, coxing the Senior Men’s 4+ at BUCS Head, to most recently successfully racing a single at Spring Regatta! Iona has become a key member of our racing team here at DUBC, and despite only rowing for one year, her confidence and willingness to put herself out there both in racing and in training have meant she has continued to grow and rapidly improve as a rower.

Iona will be heading off to study Undergraduate Medicine in September, and we wish her the best of luck with this and her future rowing career!
